AUGMENTED Environments -Adding Value with Local Stakeholders

Currently underutilized, independently developed environments are decreasing urban sustainability and social density. Local ecosystem is based on issues like isolated management of each entity, independent ownerships, and fragmented urban development processes. How local ecosystems can benefit of hospitality industry and collaborate particularly with hotel operations for creating value together? Lobbies are designed usually for hotel internal purposes but can they serve the larger ecosystem and how can the ecosystems benefit from local operators like hotels?

In this ADVANCED ENVIRONMENTAL DESIGN STUDIO 1, we work with Z:Hotel to explore new possibilities of community value with different groups of Gene.Z and local stakeholders, trying to increase the sustainable use of environments by enabling various communities to use and co-create value with other stakeholders on Local Ecosystem.

In the project, I showed how to bring together like-minded subcultural fashion groups by activities and spaces, to emerge cultural exchanges and collisions, in order to enhance their sense of community value identity by a 4-hierarchy ecosystem.
